Currently employed in Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Moratuwa as a Senior Lecturer (Grade II). Previously Employed in Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) as a Senior Lecturer (Higher Grade) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. I was employed in the Semiconductor Industry as a Design Engineer more than one year; with the completion of several design projects to Global Foundries, United Semiconductor Co-operation and Texas Instrument Dallas. Has one and half year combined R & D work experience in the UK working with Eurotech Ltd. Poland and Loughborough University collaboration with NASA, E.On, Airbus, QinetiQ, Rolls Royce, Mahle, Alstom. Obtained a full PhD scholarship to complete PhD in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering in Mechanics of Advanced Material Research Group, Wolfson School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Loughborough University, United Kingdom. Graduate of Open University of Sri Lanka, followed Bachelor of Technology of Mechanical Engineering with a First Class Honors and highest ever recorded GPA in the Faculty of Engineering Technology of OUSL. (3.94 GPA out of 4.0 GPA). Highly experienced in CAD based design (Siemens NX/Pro-E/ Solid works), CFD based design (ANSYS FLUENT), FE Analysis (ABAQUS, MSC Marc, ANSYS), Numerical analysis using FORTRAN, Ability to use High Performance Computing and programming PLC with Ladder programming etc with innovative thinking.
